Understanding the Financial Crisis and the $700 Billion Dollar Bailout

I have finally found a simple and easy-to-understand explanation of the global financial crisis. The popular NPR radio program This American Life has done two episodes on the topic. They are, by far, the most clear reporting I have found on this issue. They assume no level of financial knowledge. They cover everything from commercial paper and credit default swaps to who we should be mad at.

Episode 365: Another Frightening Show About the Economy

Episode 355: The Giant Pool of Money (this one gives more focus to the mortgage meltdown)
