I respectfully disagree… pleats and cuffs are far not out of style. I think this is a personal preference and depends on your body shape. I do not look good, and cannot get used to flat front pants without cuffs; they look unfinished to me.

I have to buy shoes this weekend. I am a freakishly smart machinist, and I have to trade in my blue collar uniform for business-casual because Engineering Dept. wants me to work for them. I have no fashion sense, and afraid to ask anyone. This post has helped me! I was thinking to deliberately wear ties, just for my own sake, because I know who I am and who I will be eventually.

Re: Vaughn, I’m 20 and my usual hat is a black (with some very small orange threading) wool flat cap (not a driving hat, it’s wool for winter). My boss likes it on me, too.

I also agree to Munir. When you are working with one of the top fortune companies. I am not sure whether wearing brown shoes, though I do sometime, at work is acceptable as formal dress.

I just recently bought a nice pair of black leather shoes from Men’s Warehouse, they’re lined with sheep skin.

I disagree, as long as they are dress shoes, I think they are acceptable, especially if you are wearing brown pants with a blue shirt and brown belt. Maybe I’m missing your point…

Wool driving hats? The only people I see that kind of hat on in London are Rude Boys and swing dancers. I rarely see hats on people at all, just scarfs. Always wear a scarf in the winter!
