Acquired! Day 100
Things are getting complicated. My backup job is starting to pressure me to make my move. Internally, they are still promising me more money but now it may not be happening until April. Just to add some color to the situation, a new opportunity has appeared. A VP has requested my resume. This would move me out of my current area and have me working more closely with the VP and the CEO to fix internal processes. I would finally get the chance to fix all the things I complain about. This would be great since I think my current boss is a dolt and I don’t want to be on his sinking ship.
The backup job is becoming less appealing. I wish my current employer would just pay me what I’m worth and stop jerking me around. It seems clear, however, that I am not their top priority. They are promising me a lot, but nothing is happening. Once I get my fourth quarter bonus check, I’m gonna tell my boss about the other job offer and tell them they need to make something happen now. I can’t wait until April.
