Slick Investments Geared Towards You!!
A while back we talked about budgeting. Now that you saved up all of your money what will you do with it. Buy a House? Buy a Car? How about invest it in a Mutual fund geared towards young professionals!
James Perkins, founder of Thrasher Capital Management, started the fund after noticing that his well-heeled professional friends were blowing their money on dinners and entertainment.
Called the GendeX Mutual Fund (GENDX), the fund invests in companies that affect the lives of the so-called hipster generation — think Apple (AAPL: 163.95, -2.44, -1.46%) and Nike (NKE: 62.00, -0.64, -1.02%). It has a minimum investment of $100, making it easy for people of any age to start investing (though Thrasher isn’t the only mutual fund out there to have a low minimum investment).
Thrasher Funds has even produced youtube videos helping ease the worries of young recent grads that may not be familiar with investing. As of now it appears that their fund only has 100,000 dollar value, but it is growing. Mutual funds are often great investments for new starts to the investment world in that they allow you to invest little money with great diversification reducing your risk.

I am intrigued by this fund, but a tad apprehensive about investing given the limited time it has been on the market. Has anyone tried it out yet? If so, what were your impressions of it?
