Cleaning for the Young Bachelor
I stumbled across a nice resource today at realsimple.com. It proposes a cleaning schedule for everything in your house. It may seem a little too “Martha Stewart” for you, but it will definitely bring some things to your attention. And by things, I mean your smelly sheets.
Just don’t let your (guy) friends see this hanging on your wall…

This might make me a slob, but doorknobs?? I’ve never even considered cleaning my doorknobs. I always figured they’d take care of themselves with use. Am I a filthy person?

Hi Tad. I wouldn’t say this makes you filthy - just very, very dirty. Gross.

I’m a young bachelorette, and I probably need this to follow this list more than anyone, bachelor or bachelorette. I’ve never considered cleaning the doorknobs. I wash my dishes between twice a day to once every couple of weeks. The worst I’ve done is once a month for my dishes. I throw out the garbage once every couple of weeks. I clean the floor, carpet, toilet, countertops, shower, and stove every 6 to 12 months. I’ve cleaned out the stuff in my refrigerator, but I’ve never cleaned the entire refrigerator itself. I usually change the sheets less often than once a year.
