Crazy iPhone Glitch
As someone with a passion for new technology and general gadgetry, I often deal with the general trials and tribulations of being an early adopter. In the case of the iPhone, I have been thoroughly happy with it’s performance thus far however, today I came across this interesting glitch (pictured to your right) while trying to access one particular email message. It seems that it happens when there is an inordinately high number of addresses in the To: field. Why am I sharing this? To allow those who didn’t buy an iPhone to gloat a little at it’s imperfection and to get a little feedback from our readers with some technical background as to why this might happen.
Update: Commenter Ashlie pointed out that this is definitely not a game-changer glitch, nor is it even that painful. I agree whole heartedly. In a way, I wanted to use this post to highlight the fact that early adopters of the iPhone and any technology go into their purchase knowing you will run into things like this. When the iPhone first came out there were numerous articles that were quick to pick apart the iPhone (”CNET:Don’t buy an iPhone“, “ABC News: Why You Shouldn’t Buy an iPhone“), citing anything from the screen getting oily from your fingers to the AT&T contract. None of these things outweigh the revolutionary nature of the device, nor do they really quell the technolust of those of us with a passion for gadgets. Neither will this small glitch, most likely soon to be fixed. It’s all part of the gadgetry game.
