Decisions, Decisions – What do I drink next?

Homebrewing is a fun hobby.  For only about $100 you can get started making your own delicious brew.   Unfortunately, like any other hobby, once you start to get into it, there are countless things you can buy to further your pursuits.  In a moment of weakness I actually went out and purchased a small freezer to store my golden nectar.  After modifying it with a Johnson Controls temperature controller (a Johnson controller?) I am able to store my liquid gold at a frosty 41 degrees Fahrenheit.

Despite my passion for beer, I probably drink about one beer every two or three days.  This in itself is not a problem, but my frequent trips to Discount Liquor and other well-stocked beer stores means I have a glut of beers in my kegerator.  I know what you’re thinking now: invite some buddies over and polish those babies off.  I would totally do that, but the median price for a bottle of beer in my collection is probably about $5.  I counted 60 bottles in my collection, with the most expensive/rare being my Westies which can only be purchased direct from the abbey, in person,  in Belgium.  You can find them in a pub in Europe (if you’re really, really lucky) for about $20 a bottle.   You can see, I place a lot of trust in the temperature controller.  I would probably cry if it failed and I ended up with several hundred dollars of brown ice cubes.

Here is what I propose: Since I have so many beers, I’d like the readers to pick a beer or two a week out of my collection which I will photograph, drink (mmm) and review.  Here is a list of beers I currently have in my collection (off the top of my head)
