xFruits.com Failing?
This post was going to walk you through a quick, easy way to distribute your photos to your non-web-literate close friends and family directly from your cell phone by harnessing Flickr’s email upload and xFruits RSS to Email feature but, xFruits has been out of commission. All weekend as far as I can tell. It has completely stopped updating, and not just my periodically used, slow feeds but everyone’s feeds and aggregations are inoperable.
No items are appearing in any of the “fruits” or RSS feeds on the xFruits.com website and when clicked or view the content isn’t updating. Not only does this mean my grandmother will not be receieving my latest Flickr photos in her mailbox (I use xfruits so I don’t have to explain to her how to subscribe), the 14,000 plus xFruit users must be feeling the pain as well. I have had issues before when some of my feeds would only update if I manually visited the site but, this is pretty bad for a startup in public beta. I have included a few screenshots of the desolation. There is no mention of the outage on their blog.
Welcome! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed or subscribe via email. Thanks for visiting!
